MIDLAND COUNTY - Officials are unveiling their newest addition in Midland County.
Construction on a high-tech tent, which is fully insulated, has been completed.
The facility is the first of it's kind in the State of Texas to house minimum security inmates.
There's a video visitation room where the inmates will be able to meet with their attorneys via video conferencing.
Next to that is the multi-purpose room where they'll have GED classes and church services.
The total price tag is a little more than a million dollars.
Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter says the new bunks will save taxpayers quite a bit of cash, since they won't have to house inmates in neighboring counties anymore.
