Hobbs Police have a second suspect in a murder, but it didn't go down without a fight.

Denver City Police arrested Mark Anthony Ruiz after a two-hour standoff at a home where he had barricaded himself.

He's wanted in connection with the murder of 27-year-old Christopher Laureles back in January.

He faces a slew of charges: murder, conspiracy, kidnapping, robbery and aggravated battery, just to name a few.

His bond is set at a little more than a million dollars.

On Wednesday, Hobbs Police received a tip that led them to the other suspect, Nieves Sonny Ortega.

They arrested him in Hobbs after a short chase.
