ECTOR COUNTY - An escaped inmate is back behind bars in Ector County.
That's after being on the run for more than an hour.
Deputies caught James Cunningham Junior around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon in an alley near Montclair and Springbrook.
We're told he was working detail at the Ector County Coliseum, with three other inmates, when he escaped.
Cunningham asked to go to the restroom then took off.
The supervising deputy noticed him walking away.
When he didn't return, the deputy called for back up.
During the search, Burleson Elementary locked their outside doors.
Cunningham is now charged with escape.
