MIDLAND - Tall City officials are asking Midlanders to cut down on watering outside this week.

Work crews are completing the final work on a $21-million dollar upgrade to the water purification plant.

This week, the plant will shut down in order to replace critical electrical equipment.

City officials say they should have enough water for the city if residents restrict all outside watering to only that which is essential starting on Sunday night.

The work should be finished by next weekend.
