Seminole Man Dies in the Custody of Gaines County Officials

GAINES COUNTY - The Texas Rangers are investigating after a Seminole man dies in the custody of Gaines County officials.

25-year-old Samuel Garcia was arrested on drug-related charges.

Authorities suspected he had swallowed cocaine.

After they found him having seizures, they sent him to Lubbock for treatment.

Seminole law enforcement has not released his time of death, but we're told it happened Friday.

The case is now in the hands of the Texas Rangers.
