ODESSA - The suspect accused of gunning down three Odessa police officers won't have his day in court in Odessa; the case against Larry Neil White will now be tried in Howard County.

He's been granted a change of venue.

White is accused of gunning down and killing three Odessa police officers back in September of 2007.

The defense asked for a change of venue, because of so much attention and media coverage on the case.

There was concern he wouldn't get a fair trial.

Officers Abel Marquez, Arlie Jones and Scott Gardner lost their lives after investigators say White opened fire on them.

White barricaded himself in his home after his wife called police for help.

So far, a trial date has not been scheduled.
