ANDREWS - A proposed curb and gutter system brought a resounding yes from the Andrews City Council.
City officials held the first reading of a gutter program, aimed at keeping their streets from flooding.
Andrews leaders say they'll start with neighborhoods asking property owners who want to get on board to get 80% of their block to sign a petition.
Then, the city will fund a portion of that project having homeowners pay about 500 to 800 dollars over a period of time.
The City Council will hold the second reading March 2nd, then begin implementing the program by around the first of April.
