WEST TEXAS - The U.S. Census is still in need of workers here in West Texas.

The census says they need 9,500 workers in our region, and so far, only 3,000 positions have been filled.

On Saturday, they hosted a kick-off event at the midland center while letting residents know there are still jobs available.

The job pays $13.25 an hour plus reimbursement for mileage.

Relatively low unemployment has made it hard to find workers.
