An 11-year-old boy from Fort Worth is dead after a frightening accident west of Monahans.
The accident happened on Thursday morning, around 7:30 five miles west of Monahans, along interstate 20.
According to state troopers, an SUV with a family of ten inside, was headed east when the SUV hit a guardrail.
That sent the SUV rolling across the Interstate coming to a stop upside down in the west bound lane.
Four people sleeping in the back were ejected, killing the boy.
The other three, including two children, were taken to the hospital.
Minutes after, family members were able to get everyone out of the vehicle.
Troopers say an 18-wheeler heading west hit the SUV.
Troopers are still investigating.
