MIDLAND - West Texans are coming to the rescue of the Midland SPCA.

As NewsWest 9 first reported on Tuesday night, the no-kill shelter is strapped for cash, and in danger of closing its doors at the end of the month.

According to the shelter's director, since our story aired, they've gotten more than $1,000 in donations on-line through their website, and on Wednesday, they received about 2 months worth of dog food.

For more information on how to help out, you can call the Midland SPCA at 432-684-7582, or click here to visit their website.
