City of Hobbs Replaces Traffic Signal Lights in an Effort to Save Money

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Officials in Hobbs say the city could save about $40,000 in the next year on its electric bill.

The city recently replaced their traffic signal lights with energy saving lights.

Hobbs spent about $132,000 to change the lights in more than 40 intersections across town.

City officials say it will take about a year to reach the $40,000 savings mark.
