PECOS - Progress is rolling along at the temporary Pecos Senior Center, but not without a few challenges.
City officials tell NewsWest 9, they're still waiting for final repairs to be made to the floors.
We're told several workers just didn't show up and that's backing up the open date.
They also added new features sending the price tag over-budget.
So far, workers have finished painting, lighting, and ceiling repairs.
Mayor Alligood tells NewsWest 9, they're hoping for a grand opening around mid-February.
But ultimately, they hope to rebuild the center.
By March, they'll know whether there's enough cash left in the budget to make it happen.
