WEST TEXAS - A strong line of morning storms brought flooding to parts of Midland and Odessa Thursday. Several streets, including Dixie, had to be closed in Odessa due to high water.
Several high water rescues were reported around the area and car wrecks were reported in both cities.
The heavy rains have now moved out of the central Permian Basin and will give way to much colder air.
Light sleet and a few snow flurries are possible Thursday night into Friday morning. A hard freeze early Friday morning could make for a slick commute.
