MIDLAND - A string of home invasions in Midland prompts a local karate teacher to open his dojo up to the public.

Starting this Wednesday, Sergio Menchaca says he'll offer free self-defense classes to help you learn how to protect yourself, just in case of a home invasion.

Menchaca tells NewsWest 9, he saw our report earlier this week about the search for the suspects who have been kicking-in front doors of homes in northwest Midland.

Menchaca says he's giving you three chances.

He'll hold the class from seven to eight for the next three Wednesdays.

For more information, you can contact Menchaca at 638-4869.
