A former Midland postman pleads guilty to stealing debit cards from the mail.

49-year-old Walter Bryson told investigators he took the debit cards between April and July of 2009, while working for the Post Office.

In many cases, the mail included the customers pin numbers, so Bryson was able to rack up more than $5,000 in charges.

Eight people in Midland were affected by the crime.

Bryson faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
