MIDLAND - It's that time of year again, tax season, but before you do your tax returns, the Better Business Bureau wants to warn you of some things.

The BBB tells NewsWest 9, this year people are going to want to do their taxes as soon as possible, but they warn you of some offers that might sound to good to be true.

"If they say that they can do your income tax with just your last check stub, that is illegal. Any agency that is saying,"oh we can do it with the last check stub"   No. The IRS requires a W-2. It doesn't matter if they say 'hey, bring your last check stub.' No. That is illegal, that is something that you want to stay away from," Ivonne Sigala, with the Better Business Bureau, said.THE

BBB recommends that you read everything that you are signing before you get in trouble with Uncle Sam.
