LOVINGTON, NEW MEXICO - So far, no arrests have been made after a Lovington woman was killed in a rollover crash.

Officers say the accident happened around two on Friday afternoon when 65 year-old Dora Salinas was rear ended at a high rate of speed.

Authorities say Salinas was hit from behind by 31-year-old Cristopher Palomo.

The hit from behind forced her onto the east side of the roadway on state road 18 and caused her to roll her vehicle over.

Police say the impact ejected Salinas from her Nissan pickup.

She later died at Nor-Lea Regional Hospital.

Details in the crash are still under investigation, but police say alcohol was not a factor.
