MIDLAND - A Midland elementary school had to briefly lock their doors on Friday afternoon.
U.S. Marshals served a high-risk warrant nearby.
School officials say the campus was closed and was sheltered in place around three.
U.S. Marshals tell NewsWest 9, they along with Midland Sheriff's Officials searched a house in a nearby neighborhood for a suspect who may have skipped town.
In addition, a Midland ISD Police Officer was stationed outside the school while campus was closed for 20 minutes.
School officials say the shelter in place briefly delayed dismissal.
