Coahoma ISD Trying to Stop Rumors About Strange Notes

COAHOMA - Coahoma ISD officials are trying to stop the rumor mill after strange notes were left on cars in the high school parking lot last week.

Coahoma Superintendent Randy Brown tells NewsWest9 that despite rumors to the contrary, no students or staff were ever threatened by the notes. Brown did describe the notes as bizarre and violent.

Brown says a man left them on the cars because he wanted to provide a "religious education." That person was located by the Howard County Sheriff's Office and issued a criminal trespass warning.

Brown says the man, who is from Big Spring, was very sorry and never meant to threaten anyone at the school.
