CRANE- One man is behind bars after leading authorities on a high speed chase through Crane.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Troopers began a chasing a man driving a black 2005 Dodge Dakota just before one on Saturday afternoon.
Members of the Crane Police Department, as well as the Sheriff's Office, assisted in the chase which took law enforcement in and out of the Crane city limits.
Authorities say the chase reached speeds over 100 miles per hour.
Troopers tried to slow the suspect down by laying out road spikes but were unsuccessful.
The chase came to an end about 15 minutes later when a DPS Trooper fired off two rounds from his shotgun and stopped the truck.
Troopers were able to arrest the suspect and he's now in custody at the Crane County jail.
We don't yet know what started the chase.
