During these tough economic times, it appears women are making healthcare a lower priority.

According to Planned Parenthood, many women are putting the needs of their family before their own.

Officials say they're skipping out on pelvic exams, pap tests, and screenings for breast cancer, putting them at a greater health risk.

"We do see a lot of women who neglect their own health care either because they've managed to get insurance for everyone else but themselves, or just because the family budget doesn't allow everyone to have everything and mom is the one who ends up sacrificing," Dr. Vanderlee with Planned Parenthood, said.

Planned Parenthood provides free assistance for women who need it.
