BIG SPRING - Big Spring ISD is looking at a hefty price tag to deal with it's aging schools. School officials are currently evaluating all of their options.

60 million dollars is what it will take to fix or replace Big Spring's schools. School officials say the biggest needs are at the elementary campuses which were built in the fifties.

Those schools have classrooms that are too small and aren't able to handle all of the new technology that schools are using.

The high school is also in need of upgrades including its science labs.

The Big Spring School Board will get more information on all this at a meeting scheduled for Tuesday night.

It will likely take a bond issue to pay for all of this, and the bond issue could be called for a vote later this year.
