MIDLAND – Police are investigating after two people were transported to the hospital after a stabbing and fight at Travis Elementary.
Now, officers say a high speed chase from Midland to Odessa may be connected.
Officers say they talked to a 40-year-old man who says he was stabbed after following and then trying to defend his son in a fight.
In addition, police suspect another man to have been stabbed in the same fight.
Not long after eight Saturday night, police say they tried to pull over a pickup driver they think could have been connected to the fight.
But he pulled away and led Midland Police on a high speed chase on Highway 80 until the driver got to Odessa.
Officers tell NewsWest 9 for safety reasons; they stopped following him once he reached the Odessa City limits.
Right now, details are still limited, but Midland Police are still looking for that driver in a white Chevy pickup.
Both men who were stabbed in the fight have non-life threatening injures.
