MARTIN COUNTY - Authorities in Martin County are still on the lookout for a couple of copper wire thieves they say are stealing from across the Basin.

Martin County Sheriff Jon Woodward tells NewsWest 9, the suspects broke into ONCOR sites in Midland, Odessa, and Big Spring.

He says earlier this month they stole several spools of copper wire, worth thousands of dollars.

Woodward believes these are the same suspects who stole copper from TESSCO Oil Services in Stanton.

Most of the copper was recovered in a nearby pasture, but authorities say the suspects may have stolen more from another West Texas company.
