MIDLAND - Good news for the West Texas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) group.
They just learned they may be in the running for new federal funding.
But first, directors say they need your help.
In order to get the cash, they have to find about 50 new volunteers.
Right now, they have about seven.
CASA volunteers represent children in the courtroom.
Many of those children have suffered severe cases of physical and sexual abuse.
The CASA director says most of the kids they work with are under the age of five.
