ODESSA - An Odessa woman will get a new trial after being sent to prison on drug charges.

An attorney for Yolanda Madden tells NewsWest 9 that Judge Robert Junell ordered a new trial on Friday morning.

The Judge ruled that evidence was not disclosed in Madden's first trial.

Madden was sentenced in 2006 to six years and six months in jail after being arrested for possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamines in an Odessa park.

The new trial will be in March and Madden has been released on bond.

Odessa Police released a statement saying they remain confident that justice will be served in the case. Odessa Police have not yet received the court order and they had no further comment.
