More than two million dollars in grant money is heading West Texas' way.

This week, U.S. Congressman Ciro Rodriguez announced several projects that will get federal funding to back them up.

One million dollars will go towards South Orient Railroad rail line improvements from San Angelo to Fort Stockton.

The City of Alpine will also get nearly a million dollars for their airport and construction of their public library.

In addition, $100,000 dollars will go to the Fort Stockton Economic Development Corporation to help small businesses.

Before locals get the money, the bill must still be signed by the President.
