BIG SPRING - The H1N1 vaccine is now available for the first time at the Big Spring Health Department.
Because of manufacturing delays quantities have been limited for immunizations, but now the health department has received its first batch.
The vaccine was available for the first time Monday. It was the first day that residents could receive the shot or the nasal spray. The health department says they got 400 doses.
The residents who are eligible are pregnant women, children, young adults, people with high risk health condition, patients who provide direct patient care and people who are in close contact with infants.
