The Sheriff tells NewsWest 9 the rupture closed an area highway for five hours and left several homes without power.
The line was a 16-inch, natural gas pipeline, 5 1/2 miles south of Westbrook.
It ruptured around noon and the Sheriff says the nearest house to the blowout was shaken by the blast.
No one was injured though.
Crews did close FM 670 from 12:30 to 5:30, but it has since been re-opened.
The pipeline company is still fixing the blow-out.
All homes have power now, and the investigation continues into how the rupture occurred.
