ODESSA - An Odessa woman accused of shooting and killing a soldier on leave has been indicted for manslaughter.

24-year-old April Danielle Thompson was indicted last week by the Hill County Grand Jury.

Thompson admitted to shooting an Army soldier in the chest and killing him while they were in bed.

She claims she thought the gun was a toy.

When she realized what she'd done, she fled to Glenrose.

That's where authorities caught up to her.
