Midland Man Pleads Guilty to Trafficking Counterfeit Goods

MIDLAND - Selling bootleg T-shirts and other merchandise could cost a Midland man a decade in federal prison.

29-year old Cody Lee Carter pleaded guilty to trafficking counterfeit goods.

He was selling merchandise with Texas Tech and the University of Texas Logos, which is copyrighted.

Carter owned and operated Fieldhouse Ink in Midland and University Street Kiosk in the Midland Park Mall, where he made and sold the illegal shirts and other clothes.

He faces a ten year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine.
