Former Corrections Officer Pleads Guilty to Accepting Bribes

MIDLAND - A former corrections officer at the Reeves County Detention Center in Pecos has pleaded guilty to accepting bribes in exchange for smuggling iPods to an inmate at the facility.

28-year-old Katherin Elizabeth Terry of Pecos admitted that on three dates in April and May of 2008, she received approximately $500 from the mother of an RCDC inmate to smuggle contraband iPods to the inmate.

Terry with face up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she is sentenced in March of next year.
