San Antonio Man Arrested After Cross County High-Speed Chase

HOWARD COUNTY - A San Antonio man has been arrested after a high-speed chase that covered several counties.

The Howard County Sheriff says 58-year-old Ruben Tamez was speeding through a school zone in Sterling City Monday morning. Deputies chased him all the way into Big Spring.

Howard County Sheriff Stan Parker says Tamez continued to speed through the school zone at Elbow Elementary and eventually left town.

He was stopped and arrested near the Howard and Glasscock County line. He was then taken back to Sterling City.

It is unknown exactly what charges he is facing at this time.
