Two Arrested for Assaulting Deputies, Burglarizing Cars

A man and a teen from Big Spring are facing a host of charges after allegedly burglarizing cars at a local bar.

HOWARD COUNTY - Two Big Spring men are behind bars after allegedly burglarizing vehicles and assaulting officers.

The Howard County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old Miguel Enriquez Juarez and 17-year-old Joe Luis Rodriguez stole a truck from the Out Yonder Bar on East Interstate 20 around 9:45 Wednesday night after burglarizing vehicles there.

Howard County deputies and the Big Spring Police Department found the two on West Robinson Road after they allegedly struck a mail box, phone junction box and dumpster. The two were trying to leave the scene, but the truck was stuck.

Officers had to break the driver's side window and remove Juarez from the truck before anyone was harmed.

The Howard County Sheriff's Offices says Rodriguez got out of the truck armed with a knife. Officers had to struggle with Rodriquez to disarm him.

Both Juarez and Rodriguez have both been charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, four counts of Burglary of a Vehicle and Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant.
