MIDLAND - A string of overnight robberies have Midland Police scratching their heads.

The first robbery happened at Dominoes Pizza on Illinois and Midkiff.

Police say the suspect went in with a handgun and threatened an employee.

No word on if anything was actually stolen.

The next robbery happened at Coventry Pointe Apartments on west Wadley.

A man told police, a guy came up to him in the parking lot and demanded cash.

The victim didn't have any, so the would-be crook hit him over the head with a pistol and took off.

The final robbery was on the 1000 block of Mogford.

An elderly man was putting away his groceries when the suspect demanded cash.

Police say the elderly man couldn't hear very well, and that upset the suspect, so he fired the gun into the ground and stole the man's groceries.

The suspect's description was the same in all three robberies, but here's where it gets a bit tricky.

Witnesses say he was an either Black or Hispanic man, dressed in all black, with pantyhose over his face and he was carrying a handgun.

Police say they're not sure if the same guy committed all three crimes, because they all happened within about 45 minutes of each other.

If you have any information about these robberies, call Midland Police at 685-7108 or Crimestoppers at 694-TIPS.
