PECOS - Pecos city leaders say the numbers just don't add up when it comes to keeping the lights on in their community, and they are pointing the finger at a major power company.
NewsWest 9 first brought you this story a couple of weeks ago when problems surfaced between the City and Texas-New Mexico Power Company.
On Tuesday, the City Council will discuss whether or not they were overcharged and if they should file a lawsuit.
To get to the truth, the city hired an outside auditing firm to investigate the company's billing practices.
In our earlier report, Pecos' Mayor said early audit results led him to believe his city was paying too much for street lights.
