Big Spring Police already have their hands full with several robbery investigations, but in the last couple of days, they've got even more to deal with.
Last week, there were three 7-11 robberies. This week, police say thieves targeted three more local businesses this week and an elderly woman from a retirement home.
The first robbery occurred at the Scottish Inn on 3rd Street on Tuesday night as a suspect went in and demanded money and ran off.
Then on Wednesday morning, a man entered the Sun Laundry on Lancaster and robbed it.
The third robbery happened at the Shell Station off I-20 and Highway 80 on Wednesday night.
The final hit of the night was at a retirement home in Big Spring, as a woman walked outside to walk her dog just before seven when she was approached by a man. He knocked her to the ground and demanded her keys and cell phone.
"She refused to give it to him and he threatened to kill her again, she refused to give him what he wanted and he turned and fled on foot.” Sergeant Tony Everett, with the Big Spring Police Department, said.
Although the retirement home has not found anything on the surveillance video police are still investigating this case and the other three robberies. The cases are not believed to be related.
