BIG SPRING - Some current members of the military took time on Wednesday to say thank you to older generations in Big Spring.
A special ceremony was held at the Texas State Veterans Home. It was a time when those who are serving now, honored those who served years ago.
Airmen from Godfellow Air Force Base and Dyess Air Force Base were on hand Wednesday to talk with the veterans and listen to the stories from past wars.
The Dyess Airmen even brought some early Christmas cheer from children who live on the Dyess Air Force Base, they had made the veterans Christmas cards.
One Big Spring veteran visited the nursing home just to say thank you and enjoy the company of other vets.
The Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring is only seven such facilities in Texas and provides Veterans with a safe place to live and receive care.
