ODESSA - It's official, the man arrested for two heists at Odessa insurance agencies has now been pegged as the suspect in the third armed robbery that happened on Tuesday at Beeson's Insurance, and that's not the end of his troubles.
He's facing some serious drug and gun-related charges.
Police picked up 40-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez Ortega on Wednesday morning around 7:30, as he was driving around Maple and Fernwood.
He's suspected of being behind three armed robberies at Allstate, Fred Loya and Beeson Insurance.
Authorities say Ortega walked in all three locations, asked for a quote, pulled a gun, then took off with the cash.
He's charged with aggravated robbery for those hold-ups, because he was caught in a school zone on Wednesday morning with marijuana and a gun, he'll have to answer to those charges as well.
