MARFA - It's been one month - and the City of Marfa still hasn't cut a deal with Presidio County for protection.

The new Marfa budget went into effect October first and eliminated the police department in a cost-cutting measure.

The Presidio County Sheriff's Office has taken over patrols in town, but the City and County have yet to agree on a price for that protection.

County Commissioners will meet next week to once again take up the issue.
