Alpine Food Pantry to Hold November Distribution

ALPINE - The November distribution of free food and other commodities by the Food Pantry of Alpine will be on Saturday, November 7 from 9-11 am in the Education Building at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 406 S. 6th Street in Alpine.

All individuals or families who are interested in receiving free monthly food and other staples must complete and return an eligibility application, which is available at schools, medical offices, city and county offices, and churches throughout Alpine and Marathon.

Volunteers scheduled to help with the set up for the November distribution need to report to the Education Building on Friday, November 6 from 9-11 am. Volunteers for the Saturday distribution are asked to be on site by 8:15 am on Saturday.

Information is available concerning The Food Pantry of Alpine Board of Directors "The Power of Tens" Campaign. The Board encourages individuals, civic groups, churches, clubs, or businesses to get a group of ten individuals to each pledge $10 per month for a year. The Food Pantry's goal for this fundraising drive is ten groups of ten people each pledging $10 per month or a total of $12,000 for a year.
