SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) - Pop's Bakery Inc. is recalling flour tortillas it sent to western Texas after company officials discovered a missing ingredient on product labels.
The San Angelo-based company says its tortillas may contain undeclared whey milk, which can cause a life-threatening allergic reaction in some people. The company said Tuesday in a news release no illnesses have been reported to date. The tortillas were shipped to restaurants and retail grocery stores only in Texas but the statement did not say when they were distributed.
A message left with the company by The Associated Press was not returned Tuesday evening.
