BIG SPRING - City Council members in big spring are fighting back against vandalism at public parks.

On Tuesday afternoon, they approved a new reward fund to put a stop to the mischief.

Ever since two city parks were vandalized earlier this year, they've been trying to find ways to prevent damage to public property.

So the Council approved creating a fund worth $10,000 dollars.

That money will be used to match CrimeStoppers reward money for tips to help catch vandals.

City officials are also looking into buying surveillance cameras to install in certain parts of the city.
