HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Hobbs Police know someone saw something in two deadly shootings, but they can't close the cases because no one's talking.

Investigators say no witnesses have come forward in the august first shooting death of 18-year-old Jacob Navarette.

He died after officers went to a fight where several shots were fired at a home on east Park.

Police say dozens witnessed the shooting.

We're told there are also several witnesses in the deadly shooting at a tattoo shop on September 26th.

31-year-old Orlando Martinez died after he was shot in the face.

The shop owner was stabbed in the back and a woman was shot in the hand.

Investigators tell NewsWest 9 when they go to witnesses' homes to talk, most won't even answer the door.

Police are asking anyone with information on either shooting to call them or Crime Stoppers at 575-393-8005.
