MIDLAND - Investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what happened in a weekend wreck that killed a Midland girl.

Right now, they still don't know who was behind the wheel.

Police say an SUV on Loop 250 hit a concrete culvert, flipped, and rolled onto the service road.

It landed upside down and caught fire, just south of Anetta Street.

18-year-old Ariel Corley died in the accident.

18-year-old Emily Thon and 28-year-old William Robert Hale were taken to Midland Memorial.

Then Hale was booked into jail on six warrants unrelated to the wreck.

So far, there are no charges in connection with the crash.
