Midland Man Could Face Serious Charges after a Deadly Head-On Collision

A deadly alcohol fueled crash could land a Midland man in serious trouble in New Mexico.

Troopers say Jimmy Scott Barnhill of Midland was going the wrong way on Interstate 27, near Hale Center, when he slammed head on into another car.

21-year-old Ashleah Richards of New Mexico died in the crash.

Troopers say Barnhill was drunk and charges are pending.

Four other people riding with Richards suffered minor injuries, and are expected to be fine.
