BIG SPRING - School officials in Big Spring are celebrating after residents overwhelmingly pass a rollback election.

These are early voting numbers, but we're told the final results are very similar.

84 percent of the voters were for the measure while 16 percent were against.

KBST in Big Spring tells NewsWest 9, only about 300 people showed up to vote on Saturday on a measure that gives school officials the go-ahead to capitalize on state revenue.

They'll shift some tax money to maintenance and operations to get more bucks back from the state.
