ODESSA - A Texas company is breaking ground in Odessa on a new building that could be a big help to local law enforcement and citizens for years to come.
This week, the work has begun on a future Permian Basin Forensic Center.
Officials in multiple West Texas Counties including Midland, Ector, Crane, Howard, and Tom Green have all expressed interest.
The CEO of Southeast Texas Forensic Center says their services will perform autopsies here in the Basin, instead of authorities sending them out to Tarrant County.
The CEO has scheduled for more meetings with local officials at the end of the month.
