Pecos Trying to Find Solutions For Crumbling Senior Center

PECOS - The gathering spot for senior citizens in Pecos is falling apart. The city has decided to  bring in a new engineer to decide whether the structure can be repaired or should be condemned.

The back corner of the senior center is crumbling. Pecos Mayor Richard Alligood says the center has voluntarily closed that section of the building until something can be done.

Thursday night the City Council voted to bring in a structural engineer from Midland. They'll do an assessment over the next two weeks. Then the city will either make the repairs or condemn the center all together.
