Odessa College Foundation Hosting Blood Drive for Their President

ODESSA - The Odessa College Foundation is hosting a blood drive with United Blood Services to help the Foundation's President who was injured after a horse riding accident.

Richard Abalos was hospitalized Saturday after a horse he was riding fell on him.

He is listed in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit at Medical Center Hospital.

His kidney was removed due to internal bleeding.

The blood drive for Abalos will be held the Odessa College Sports Center on Wednesday from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. and from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m.

There is currently a critical need for Type O negative blood, but any type of blood will benefit the blood bank.
